I'd like to see the list. I bet little Adam Schiff was one of them. That would be a good tweet from President Trump. Name these bastards.

Have no idea what the bill is about but if Schifft-for-brains and Booker voted against it, it was probably a good bill

I don't care what reasons they could come up with. Their reasons are moronic and have no merit. Period.

What does the bill say? As we've all learned, the title of a bill, referendum, NGO, etc., can be misleading.

Is this no fetanyl not even with a doctor's prescription? That stuff could be helpful for people with serious chronic pain or is this no fetanyl in some other context?

Not so common for chronic pain (patches in cancer, very addictive), but highly used in the OR and ICU. I doubt this bill goes after medical use, but have no idea what's in it.

Why do we need this bill? Are the laws already on the books not enough if enforced?

Admittedly I scanned the bill & wasn't thorough, but I've heard, from those who voted for it, that it targets traffickers. Current laws can't handle that?

Is this not just more government?

it fentanyl related substances as a class to schedule 1 controlled substances.

it also sets up additional requirements for people who do research controlled substances.

I inagien their issue is adding anything to the schedule 1 narcotics because they’re anti-war on drugs.

i’d probably have voted for this.

Congress.gov

I don't see anything objectionable. I think the 16 nays were just anti-Trump votes. Don't allow him the smallest perceived victory.

P.S. Georgia, you can do better.

This gives stiffer prison times to dealers ans the voted because of the demographics. Per that 2023 data 60% of people convicted of fentanyl dealing were African American, 23% Latino and 17% white.

it also gives stiffer penalties to users, which is probably their biggest issue. most dems voted for it.

Targeting traffickers aint going to work, its the demand driving the market.

They need to be voted out of the senate

This saying is so tired and barely works.

Case in point in Congress:
Eyepatch McStain
Turtle
Brother fricker
AOC
Lurch

We need to accept that there are millions of stupid voters in this country and to figure out a way to blunt them. Bitching about it goes nowhere.

Are there RNC reps near those districts who can make a splash? Voters should be limited to property owners period in my book. How can some unemployed EBT recipient’s vote count the same as a business owner who pays property tax? It’s a terrible system.

Rant over

I'd have to read the entire thing but dont we already have a comprehensive war on drugs that has been failing?

Its demand driving the market. You can wipe out Fentanyl overnight and a new synthetic will pop up on the market tomorrow.

Throwing more money into problem will do nothing.
