The Golden State’s blanket ban on ammunition magazines capable of holding more than ten rounds is constitutional, a federal appeals court ruled on Thursday. A divided en banc panel of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld California’s ban on so-called large-capacity magazines. The court split 7-4, with the majority holding that the types of magazines covered under the ban do not count as “arms” under the Second Amendment. “Large-capacity magazines are optional accessories to firearms, and firearms operate as intended without a large-capacity magazine,” Judge Susan Graber wrote in Duncan v. Bonta. “A large-capacity magazine is thus an accessory or accoutrement, not an ‘Arm’ in itself. Possession of a large-capacity magazine therefore falls outside the text of the Second Amendment.”

Barrett will side with the leftists once it hits the Supreme Court. That's what happens when you virtue signal with the mama bear female demographic.

Look the 9th circuit did mental gymnastics to hold the most liberal position

Shocking news

Why the Supreme Court hasn't ruled on this yet is bullshite

Assault weapon bans and magazine bans should be long gone

This ruling essentially means they can ban anything but a single shot gun

This is why bump stocks and pistol braces matter, people.

She’s atoning for her the abortion decision, by voting left on every other decision.

Every gun law on the books is unconstitutional. They are all an infringement.

The only gun law I would support is one that requires every citizen to own one.

It would be really heavy.

But I'd still buy it.

If a 20-round mag is illegal and just an accessory then what’s to keep them from banning any magazine? Ten rounds is an arbitrary number. Only single shot rifles and revolvers will be legal.

Stating the obvious for BamaAtl and 4cubbies, it isn't about banning magazines, pistol braces, or bump stocks. The goal is disarmament.

Politicians and the elites don't want us to be able to defend ourselves from their authoritarian bullshite, and their useful idiots buy into the bullshite they sell about how we'd be such a utopia, if we'd only submit and turn our safety over to the government.

California has a leg to stand on, for now, because a number of east coast states like Delaware and New Jersey have fricking asinine limits on mag capacity.

I want to say one has a limit of 10 and the other has a limit of 6.

Silly. Next they will ban barrels and firing pins. “Just accessories!”
