12 hours of basketball for 4 straight days. Looking at a 3 day weekend when I leave work tomorrow.

Best sports weekend of the year

It’s 3am and I can’t get comfortable or put a sheet on my foot because of the gout, but as a result I’m officially off today.

Went from 76 & A/C at 9am Wednesday to 32 & snow showers w/ a WC of 17 currently. All while the wind hasn’t thought about not howling below 35mph.

Gonna be windy & cold 1st day of Spring. But I’ll grab my RX & beer in a couple hours and there’s more than a few others I know that are playing hooky today.

Enjoy!

I love it.

Randomly watched the 2016 One shining moment clip on YouTube . I tear up every single year at it

It really is one shining moment for some kid you’ve never heard of or seen play. They get one chance on the biggest stage . There’s something beautiful and tragic at the same time . One chance to make history and make their name live on in the history of the tournament .

I hate being the very first game of the Tournament. Of course, after the shitshow we have been the last few years I am just grateful to be in it again

I’m dumb as frick and have to go on a weekend trip this weekend. Just completely fricked up the calendar and won’t be able to watch Saturday or Sunday.

And have a wedding next weekend. Shoot me.

It would if LSU were in it. Kind of feels like Festivus Eve without.

Won't be a popular opinion but to me, last Thursday-Sat is better. There was a ton more games being the conference tourneys quarters/semis/finals. Majority of those teams didn't have a chance unless they won it so the games were very competitive. Lots of teams fighting for their season.

This weekend is still great though just not as many games

Hopefully, everyone has all the streaming channels that these games are on. I love the scores of other games being plastered on the screens in real-time. I often see these scores and head to the best finish or best games. It's hard to watch bad basketball games.

Used to feel this way. Like I enjoyed that first Thur/Friday as much as anything in sports. Like most sports it’s all been sufficiently ramped down in adulthood unfortunately. Just don’t have the time to enjoy it anymore and just don’t care in comparison to my own kids activities/sports.

I’m already home from work. Is it too early to crack a beer?

No. For me, I feel like a kid on Xmas Eve on the Thursday before baseball regionals start. A weekend full of postseason baseball all day for 4 days usually.

Pre-NIL and transfer portal i did. Now the Cinderellas transfer to a P5 school as soon as they have one good game.

Today is one of my favorite days of the year!

I don’t gamble significant money on sports, but I have a wager on every single game, some stupid arse parlays, a chalky as shite bracket… Let’s go!!!

Yeah, sorta. However, the Cards have the first game up against a tough Creighton team that I feel we don't match up well with.
