When is he getting to AFT? That's the one I'm waiting for.

Public school teacher here yelling, “Hell yeah!”

I thought he already did this? The whole kinda mcmahons job is to end the Dept of education thing.
Is this going to go through congress or are we just making it up as we go still?

Can another future President just EO it back into existence? It needs to be codified somehow by Congress.

I'm curious
This is screwing up PSLF bigly and making lots of people mad. This disruption in the DOE with no plan for administering the law and the injunction out of MO have everything in total chaos from what I've read. There are Congressional statutes that this is affecting with no clear avenue from the administration on what is to be done (if anything can be done without Congress).
Note: I'm not on PSLF and have never missed a payment, even during Covid (which was -EV)

It won't matter. If it's gone, it isn't coming back if some hack job judge says so.

Good. Let the states decide how to use its tax dollars for education. That's how the founding fathers wanted it .

Were you to read your Harbrace Handbook, you would be aware of the need to only use acronyms after you produced the full spelling at least one time
PSLF..................?????????????????

Department of Ed should have to pay reparations for all the damage they did to us.
Posted on 3/19/25 at 6:15 pm to Trevaylin
Sorry. It's a commonly-cited program and was big time during the Biden SL fiascos
Posted on 3/19/25 at 6:20 pm to SlowFlowPro
Absolutely, we should keep it because it might inconvenience some employees who are unjustly having their loans forgiven by said government. We could be giving out free ice cream and you would complain it isn’t fat free yogurt or some other goofy, contrarian opinion

Oh fricking well. Let them pay back their loans like everyone else.

He needs Congress to get rid of the Department too, which, unfortunately, won’t pass
