Pronunciation of fentanyl?

I’ve been a little confused about this. If you look at similarly spelled words (chlorophyll, vinyl, pterodactyl), all have very similar -ill pronunciations of the final syllable.
However, practically everyone that I hear say it, including medical professionals, pronounce it fentanOL, like Tylenol. Is there a correct way, or is either acceptable?

You don’t need to know how to pronounce it. Just tell them you want some Dance Fever, He-Man, Nal or Nil when you get ready to buy it and they’ll know what you’re talking about.

It’s nil. There is no “o” in it and no “aal” sound.
In your example it would be like pronouncing Tylenol as Taal-en-aal
