Is the Cybertruck at risk of becoming Elon Musk’s first full-blown flop?

On Thursday, EV enthusiast site Electrek reported Tesla delivery agents as saying all outbound vehicles have been stopped amid concerns that the glue holding the exterior stainless steel panelling in place is failing.
The issue isn’t new but it has remained unaddressed. Owners living in cold weather conditions in particular have been warning about it for weeks, posting images of sharp-edged metal trim protruding from their vehicles and flapping in the wind while driving. Some have even taken to reporting the problem to the federal traffic safety authority NHTSA, Road & Track reported last month.
But an image circulated recently showing the entire front bumper dangling loosely from the body may have tipped the scale.
The Cybertruck has been dogged with issues ever since it came out, with multiple recalls to fix not just software but actual build problems, including an accelerator pedal that caused accidents when it stuck in place or plastic trim around the bed flying off.
Elon Musk’s Tesla reportedly halts Cybertruck deliveries as owners complain of metal sides falling off.

It's basically a concept vehicle you'd see at car shows but actually put into production. Don't think it has much of a chance to really turn profitable.

Also it looks like fricking stupid. Like if an 11 yr old boy saw Demolition Man in 93, went into a coma for 30 years, then woke up and somebody told him to design a vehicle.

Not here in south Florida. See them everywhere. It’s become my kids counting game like we used to count vw bugs.
Boys are obsessed with them probably for the same reasons as the demolition post

It’s the new original H2, but the opposite of a gas guzzler, obviously

Demolition Man had actual GM concept cars that didn't have a single sharp edge on them.

Those wheels would have looked awesome on Firebirds in the 90s.

Probably the easiest flop in the world to predict though.
It's ugly and weird looking, that alone kills it for mass appeal.

they are hideous.
a nerd at work own ones and i swear he gets off on the attention it gets. he’ll pull his phone out once a week in the office to show us people taking pictures/videos with it while it’s in a parking lot.

People who specifically want attention are who get it. It certainly turns heads and some people get off on that.
It's a very expensive novelty item.

It’s ugly as a motherfricker, and anyone who drives one is an obvious “look at me” dbag.

It’s not a flop. Stop believing everything you read. Highest selling EV truck and counting

I saw one the other day with actual stuff in the bed. First time I’ve seen one actually used as a truck.
