Full video.

Highlights:

quote:

"My hands were shaking,” Charania said. “You had to make sure, like, every detail was right. You had to make sure there was no typo. And I just remember, like, my hands were trembling. I didn’t have a graphic to go with it because it was so sudden. Like, you don’t even have time to prep for it. It’s not like you make a Luka Doncic graphic beforehand. You don’t even know. And so, by the time I heard about it to the time I put it out, probably 5-7 minutes went by. Five confirmed sources on it.”

“I had up to like 300 text messages,” he recalled. “I answered five people on phone calls. Texts I couldn’t. It was just too many. Literally up to 300 messages. And everyone with the same message. ‘Did you get hacked? Did you get hacked?’ ‘Check your phone, you got hacked.’ Everyone had the same response. People were like, ‘Are you OK? Did something happen? Who took your phone?'”

That's his livelihood. He messes that up, he loses credibility, people in the league aren't going to confide in him like they did before, would really set him back.

It's easy to imagine the guy is just on twitter all day posting about basketball, but there's a reason Woj hung it up while he was still a big deal. It's a lot of work, lots of hours, and it can come crumbling down with one bad report.

ETA And this was about THE biggest trade/goof in NBA history. This move was beyond unprecedented. Imagine getting that wrong.

Yeah, it’s how he makes his paycheck and this was the biggest report of his life. I see good reason to be nervous.

These guys live a miserable life despite the money. Having 3-4 phones and having to stare at the screen for 16 hours a day sounds terrible.

I think it's even worse to go around tracking the social media of HS kids and interacting with them day in and day out... like their college decision will be some global event...

But hey people make their choices

“Just an NBA trade” is a guy like Kenrich Williams or Saddiq Bey lol

Or even Jonas Valanciunas, not freaking Luka Doncic

But it still was just an NBA trade. Not some event or conspiracy with massive global ramifications
