Hey, MAGAs--having any buyer's remorse yet?
Jesse Watters
@JesseBWatters
Gas prices just hit 3-year lows, mortgage rates are falling, inflation’s cooling, and border crossings have basically stopped. These are all things that Democrats argued a president had no control over. Democrats were for
@DOGE
for decades, but now that
@realDonaldTrump
’s the one doing the DOGE’ing, they’re standing up for waste, fraud, and abuse. Now, Trump’s fighting the trade war that Democrats promised to fight for decades but never did. Democrats are crying foul, but the whole world treats America like a duty-free shop and the only strategy Democrats ever offered up is print and spend money until we go bankrupt.

Why would Trump voters have buyer’s remorse, Stephen? Inflation is down, both Ukraine and Russia have agreed to a ceasefire, the border is secure, they are actively removing waste and fraud from the government …
Weird flex, bro.

No. Did you have buyers remorse for Biden?

No, but I definitely had buyer’s remorse after reading and watching his novel/movie Dreamcatcher.

This is why it's so important to separate art and artist, because he made some truly great work early in his career.
He's driven off into cuckoo land now...but that doesn't mean I still don't get a chill drop Pet Semetary, or feel the wind on my face and a sense of epic when I follow the Man in Black across the Desert with Roland of Gilead.

does anyone care what this retard thinks? I stopped reading him after the vomit-on-paper called Under the Dome. Not for political reasons. He just stopped being a good author. Now he's full tard.

Eh, The Stand was great; The Shining was great, Salem's Lot, Carrie, both okay I guess. But more than anything he's always been a prolific writer of bad movie scripts. Or maybe the supernatural horror genre just isn't for me.

His top 3 are The Stand, The Green Mile and Shawshank Redemption. Everything else of his I read sucked.

that's where he lost me as well, but it WAS for political reasons for me. that was the first book where The Message was so blatant that it distracted me from the greater story. the villain was just such an over the top buffoonish version of a George W Bush republican that it was ridiculous.

You never read The Dark Tower series?
And Maximum Overdrive was just some cheesy 80s goodness, with a banger AC/DC soundtrack

I had honestly blocked the entire thing from my memory. I just remember forcing myself to finish it out of some dumb OCD thing. I no longer do that.
And generally I can ignore stupid political shite in otherwise good books. But I’ve gotten better about putting down books I’m not enjoying unless it’s some classic I just “need” to read for my general knowledge base. Even then….

I always enjoyed reading his books much more than watching the movies, several of the books actually sacred me so bad, I only read them during the day. His books really don't translate well into movies.
The Stand was my favorite, Pet Cemetery terrified me, IT was a great book too.
I don't give a crap what he has to say politically, in fact I have never gotten my political insight from entertainers.

Every dem is bitching about the market - I assume many here look at it like a good thing to buy more stocks and dividend reinvestment

He is correct. A 2 month erection can't be healthy.

My wife got me a friggin' King book for Christmas (I used to be a big fan twenty years ago).
I threw it in the trash. So yeah, that was some serious buyers' remorse.

No. Exactly the opposite.
It's better than I expected.
More comprehensive and glorious.
