There can only be one. Sorry, BR.
Let's keep the updates in this thread for the gents who march in NOLA. No one wants to read about special permission to open a bar on the Lord's day. Get it together!!

"We hope to have a decision about Saturday's parade by end of day tomorrow," Delatte said.

Only one question - Which brand of Ramen are you throwing? Maruchan or Top Ramen?

Wonder if they'll remove the Pot-O-Golds from the parade route

A little rain never hurt anyone.
Been retired from marching for a few years, but remember marching in some torrential downpours in the past.

I've been around for 20 years. I only recall one good down pour for about 30 minutes. No one was injured, and the drinking continued.

2009 is the one bad rain year that I'm thinking of and thought there was maybe 1 or 2 other rain years, but they all run together.

NOLA.com says this. But they are communists so keep that in mind.

The Irish Channel's annual St. Patrick's Day parade is in limbo ahead of severe thunderstorms that forecasters say are increasingly likely to pummel New Orleans this weekend.
Parade organizer Jeff Delatte said Wednesday morning that he's monitoring the weather forecast in coordination with the New Orleans Police Department.
"We hope to have a decision about Saturday's parade by end of day tomorrow," Delatte said.
Forecasters with the National Weather Service of New Orleans said Wednesday morning that much of southeast Louisiana is expected to see a "significant severe weather event" over the weekend, with some impacts arriving in northern areas Friday and the worst of it on Saturday.
For now, the Irish Channel's beloved parade is still slated to kick off at Felicity and Magazine streets at 1 p.m. Saturday, two days before St. Patrick's Day itself.

I prefer this over City Hall.

Parasols ftw. Ran around in Irish handcuffs many of times down there.

Yeah, places like Chicago, Boston, and Savannah aren’t real parades….
