Your concern is duly noted. Those are wholesale prices.

I posted a comment about this week's ago. As soon as the flocks recover (which is pretty quick for chickens) the eggs will be fine

I figure we need minute-by-minute updates on this matter since the libs are so damned concerned by this one consumer good on which our ENTIRE economy is built.

And suddenly liberals don’t give a shite about egg prices again. Whew, that must’ve been a rough two weeks for them.

They'll get their Outrage OTA update soon enough and we'll discover what the Literally Can't Even du Jour is.

We were at a US Foods retail store (they usually supply restaurants, institutions, etc. I strongly recommend checking one out if they're near you) and the 6 x 36 cube of eggs was $99.50.

It's amusing to see the economic principles that many of us learned in things like Schoolhouse Rock writ large and some continue to be mystified as to how this could happen.

It happens when the Ag Sec okays the culling of MILLIONS of egg-laying chickens because there *might* be a bird flu issue. Hell, they were trying to stoke the fear that the bird flu would jump from the chickens to cattle to humans, less than a year ago.

Wait, wait, wait. Are you telling me a temporary supply chain interruption has a temporary impact on costs?

Crazy.

Price surges has to happen, quite frankly needs to, to remind people that our food supply for most people is but a week away from starving & hysteria. Progress has ruined local farmers and ranchers, now we are dependent on grocery stores that get their supplies from as far a way as New Zealand. Average families cannot hunt or fish to feed themselves but need currencies to buy food off the shelves that wouldn’t last 2 days in a panic. Eggs are but a small introduction to this sorry state of tragic decisions by the government that’s here to help

It takes some EXTREME TDS to bitch about egg prices when you know who artificially caused their skyrocketing.

All those chickens didn’t need to die, but in order to manufacture heartache for Trump, it happened.
But Democrats blamed Trump.

As supply increases from killing 200 million chickens prices will continue to drop. Add in the most needed can kicked down the road recession in US history, it will only help consumer good pricing.

This is the way.
