Tonight marks the second straight loss and they have a very tough schedule coming up. Without James. Normalcy restored…

They are fraudulent. Boston exposed them even without Porzingis.

I love how every time somebody loses a game they were “exposed”…..and IIRC, you were the idiot who said the Mavs got the better end of that trade. So what you say doesn’t count.

They lost to the best team in the league on their home court and now they are frauds? You’re so fricking stupid. No one thinks they are the favorites to win the NBA finals but they are pretty obviously a top 3 team in the west.

There's no way anyone in the world not named Nico truly believes that.

There are a few - although they are probably just trying to Steven A it for publicity. Brian Scalabrine on Sirius is one who is adamant about the Mavs winning the deal and still is- they just got unlucky with injuries. Even Sir Charles thought the Mavs won the deal.
I think they are crazy.

SFP was passionately defending the trade for pages on end

Many posters are saying it is the low point of his controversial, yet undeniably legendary career on TD.

Luka 8-26 Doncic is too fat to carry the Lakers by himself. Mavs scammed.

They started Alex Len at center, who can make a solid case for being the worst NBA player this decade, with a G leaguer as his backup.

Still don't know why they didn't sign Theis instead of Len. At least he can still provide minutes as someone kinda resembling an NBA player.

But even fully healthy this roster needs work.

Fat Luka averaged 34/9/9 last year….that’s better than whoever your favorite player is has ever averaged. By a lot.

They'll lose a lot of games in the next few weeks. It's more important for them to get healthy into the playoffs than the seed. Luka is still nowhere near where he needs to be and they don't need to rush anyone back.

They'd probably prefer 4 or even 5 seed given how it's looking.

Second straight loss...

What was missing?

LeBron to close out the comeback against Boston and LeBron not there to carry the bad shooting of AR and Luka against Brooklyn

Dude is 40 and is still the guy.

Yeah, they could have used LBJ for rebounding if nothing else. Nets killed them on the offensive glass.

I think calling them an obvious top 3 seed in the West is being a little fanboyish. Outside of this hot stretch that doesn't look sustainable they haven't really been close to a top 3 team in the west this season. Unless the playoff matchups and the health of their old or often injured players bounces their way it wouldn't be surprising if they got knocked out in the first round.
