Block grants to affected states would be 1000X more effective.

Great, but when are our lawmakers gonna make a bunch of these executive orders as laws? All this can be undone with the stroke of a pen by next dem in office.

It's obvious they don't feel confident about the midterms by how aggressively fast they are being.

they can't get contracts through state or local govs if something is needed? Besides, FEMA is full of DEI/leftard corrupt morons who didn't do their jobs half the time.

Disagree. !. Trump isn't effing around. He's a businessman who gets shite done. No excuses, get it done. 2. He's making a clear delineation between him and the feckless loser that was Biden who didn't do shite for 4 years. 3. He's showing the Rs the path. He's laying the groundwork so that when there are large majorities, they won't have to worry about noodle spined Rs from thwarting it.

We dont need legislation of the executive branch. That is what checks and balances are for.

Getting rid of the agency does not mean getting rid of the ability to fund disasters. Hell, FEMA should have been disbanded after the Carolina fiasco.

If the Democrats can find some semblance of a leader then he is giving them plenty to work with. Sure the midterms are a ways away but massive gov layoffs, prices not coming down, and bad stock market will be im the Dems favor is this doesn't work.

Aggression is usually met with motivation in politics.

Lake Charles moved on without much of FEMA’s help in the beginning. Did they send some grant money 4 years later? Yes. But how much taxpayer money was siphoned off in the process? There has to be a better way.
