Peace may be coming soon, here is why.

Ukraine invaded Russia in the Kursk region many many months ago, opening up a new front.

Ukraine used many of its best units there.

Now the speculation part.
Putin has not driven Ukraine out. Some have speculated that it was better to let them sit in a stalemate there and therefore not slow Russia advances on the Eastern end of the war. Bakmut etc.!

Now after many many months of give and take in Kursk Russia and driving them out quickly.

If the war is about to end via a peace plan then Russia would not want to cede any territory to Ukraine.

So my speculation is the sudden push to clear Kursk of Ukrainians means that Russia believes we will see an end to the fighting this spring.

I believe they’ll push from Kursk all the way to within sight of Moscow, and supply lines will dry up at that point.

Wait…wrong war.

Maybe but Russian advances in the east haven’t exactly been fast since Ukraine invaded Kursk

Ukraine simply does not have the manpower to defeat Russia. Without US aid they will also not have the supplies and resources they need. Zelensky is a fool if he is depending on the EU.

It is an interesting theory, but I don't think it holds water.

Russia knows that any negotiated settlement at a time when Ukraine still holds parts of Kursk and Belgorad would necessarily include return of those territories. Russia would just be required to vacate some of the Ukrainian territory that IT holds (e.g. perhaps near Kherson).

I don't know that Russia would be attacking in Kursk/Begorad as vigorously as they are, if the bodies involved were Russian rather than Norks.

Very little of the infantry fighting on the front lines are NK. I have only seen one picture of NK's and they were standing beside artillery.

And Russia would not want to vacate any of their gains. Hence removing one of Ukraine's biggest bargaining chips.

Why hasn't Russia been using their Air capabilities?

I don't recall seeing much if any use of fighter jets, bombers, and only a few helicopters in the early days.

Of course, Putin is making a hard push to liberate Kursk because Ukraine was going to use it as a trade for Russian occupied Ukrainian territory.

Putin wants Ukraine to have no cards to use in negotiations so they’re forced to sue for peace.

Because Ukraine still has their western made air defense systems. However, Russian air power seems to be coming on as of late.

Western air defense systems have largely kept Russian air defense at bay. Unlike all the previous wars the USA has been in.

But they have found some work arounds. Glide bombs can be used often out of reach of air defense systems. Also there are occasionally holes in the air defense systems that can bring the jets into the picture.

Russia has been hitting key targets when they can be identified with bombs and sometimes some horrifying to infantry bombs as large as 3000 pounds. Usually used on building with high number of military personnel or HQ or other high value targets their intelligence can identify for them.

It is alarmingly fast how quickly Russia has surrounded ukraine in Kursk, cut their supply lines, and blown up the bridges for exit. Ukraine has a "falaise gap" left and its just as deadly for them.

All this within a week of our intel being taken away. They cant target himars or atacms, they have no advance warning of incoming artillery, they are quite literally sitting ducks.

The advances are coming along the front now, and they are pounding Odessa.

This is where you need the CIA to start broadcasting to the ukranian people that their children are being slaughtered on the front while zelensky is selling their weapons to mexican cartels, and thiefing money for his vineyard in Tuscany, penthouse in Miami and mansions in Europe.

Get rid of his arse and get a peace plan in place.

No need. They know. That is why z won't allow elections

And the children are the only ones being spared. If you aren't 70 and don't use a walker you are headed to the front by force if needed.

Saw a video the other day of Ukrainian infantry positions in a thick tree line, Russians dropped three continuous FAB-500 bombs on the tree line right after another.

Holy shite.
