I say Lawrence Taylor.
Whoever you want to put at #2 isn't really even close.
Ron Jaworski said that when he went to the line of scrimmage that the first thing he did was look for LT.
LT went out for a play due to injury & when Jaworski went to the line of scrimmage and couldn't find LT he called a time out.
He was too panicked to run the play because he couldn't account for LT.

That's a no brainer if you want to include animals.
Still holds record for Derby, Belmont, Preakness.

Reggie White, Bruce Smith, Myles Garrett, etc. are much closer to LT than anyone is to Gretzky

Yeah I concede LT to Gretzky.
Gretzky would still be the NHL all time leading scorer even had he never scored a goal.

Kyle Larson on dirt.

My favorite player of all-time. I'm a Giants fan from way back because of LT.

LT is a LB the players you mentioned are not.

They all play Edge.

No, Taylor was a LB, the people you mentioned are defensive ends. 3-4 OLBs back then actually played LB, they weren’t undersized DEs like you’re talking about.
