We have an Australian Shepard and a Blue Heeler/Beagle mix, and they both shed A LOT. Any advice on good brush to help with this.
Don't mind spending money on something proven, but don't have enough knowledge on the subject to know for myself.
Thanks.

God bless your soul.
Please don't let it breed.

Two golden retrievers. Invest in a powerful vacuum cleaner and buy your lint rollers by the case.

We got a newfy that’s killed 3 Dysons in 2 years. As sweet as he is, it’s downright gross how much of a mess he makes.

The Furminator shampoo & conditioner help a TON with shedding too.

Furminator and a self emptying roomba

Just curious what's the background story on that? This has been the sweetest dog we've ever had. He is 8 months and the Aussie 3 months and they wear each other out. Outside of normal puppy behavior, the only negative on both is the excessive shedding.

Beer Jeep, you actually used that thing, or just googled something? That video looks like it was made on the set of Golden Girls.

Another vote for furminator.
Had a lab.. would clean out the under coat of super soft baby fur in clumps.. you could stuff a pillow each time I brushed her.

It’s easy to overdo it with a furminstor and a lot of people use them too much on their dog. They can damage the dogs skin and coat if used to much. Pin and slicker brushes are the best for regular grooming, I don’t have a brand, but most pet stores will carry at least one quality brush of each. wood handled brushes tend to be better made m. A high velocity dryer will help just as much. They shed a ton of fur and help get dirt and debris out of your dogs coat and when you do bathe your dog or let it get wet, it’ll dry then way quicker than towel/air dry.

Didn’t know what you were talking about, googled it and remembered then even from one use how amazing those are. Was watching my parents dog and they have that brush. I got an anthill sized amount of hair off him brushing him before coming into the house and I was very grateful they left that with him. Dude sheds a ton and that would’ve been all over the house. There was enough to pick up already by the time he left

We have two yellow labs. We use a furminator for the dogs plus we have a good grooming service that helps. Finally we have a Roomba that helps with the vacuuming plus regular vacuuming. It’s a lot of work but well worth it. These two are great dogs.
