A couple years back I was digging around a water line in order to install a backflow preventer. I was about a foot and a half down when something shiny caught my eye. I picked it up, and it was a ring! I honestly thought it was one of those cheap knock offs until I got it cleaned off. That same week I got it appraised and the rest of the story is below.

Water from a glacier that was blessed by an Eskimo medicine man. It was some high quality H2O!

I found a large piece (6" x 6" x 4") of petrified wood in the dirt for the foundation of a house in Pass Christian, of all places. IDK how it got there.

In the dunes west of Al-Jubail, Saudi I found an olive oil storage vessel that I was able to date to 800 years BC

2 days after the Great Gulf Coast Winter Storm of 2025, the roads weren't sketchy anymore, and we went to Navy Point Park. We took a short-cut through a residential street, and as I was driving I noticed a pair of what looked like Ray Ban Wayfarers in the middle of the road. I pulled over, and went over to them, and sure enough they were polarized Ray Ban Wayfarers in great condition. $200+ glasses. Helluva ground score.

My great great great something manned the Western most outpost way back in the day in North Carolina. Think Dances with wolves kind of. We used to go out there and find arrow heads all over the place. About 35 years ago that is.

I like hunting arrowheads so I've got a lot of those and pottery sherds. Always cool to pick up something 8,000 years old that you know the last person that saw it was probably the guy that made it and dropped it there.

I found an 1889 Indian head penny while playing pop Warner football... Still have it. I think it's worth about $2500.00 or much, much less. Like 2 dollars or so...

My ex found a gold diamond baguette bangle bracelet. I gave it to my mom thinking it was fake and the jeweler she took it in to be cleaned at offered her 5k for it back in 2000.

A large one only authenticated self portrait oil on canvas of a well known painter. Worth some serious cash. Currently being restored.

My buddy has hunting property up in Pelican, LA and the house that is on the porperty was an old civil war hospital / medical facility and a historical landmark. While going through boxes in the attic we found old hand written letters from confederate soldiers that were there. Some of them were letters that came in for patients and some were supposed to go out but never did. We also found what we beleive to be an old cannon ball that was found when digging for the septic system. Pretty cool stuff.
