DU Is Imploding Over Newsom's Tranny Sports Opinion

TigerDroppings Thread on the Newsom Podcast from this morning
The average Democratic Underground thread has 8-11 responses because it's just a handful of aging hippies on social security that populate the site.
However, there is a thread on Newsom's opinion of trannys in women's sports being unfair and a big political loser for Dems. It's over 200 replies. And full of fireworks.
The biggest issue is that it is Against the DU Policy to not support trans everything.
However even within their own party, it is a loser in polling. They're removing users and calling each other out for agreeing with Newsom. Newsom has lost the support of many. Total circular firing squad. Should you want to enjoy: DU Thread Link

The reddit California sub is arguing once a he transitions, they lose the muscle advantage and are now equal to a bio female. It's insane.

“I think it’s an issue of fairness, I completely agree with you on that. It is an issue of fairness — it’s deeply unfair,” Newsom said in his debut podcast episode of “This is Gavin Newsom.” “I am not wrestling with the fairness issue. I totally agree with you.”
Newsom also agreed that the most politically destructive attack ads from Trump’s campaign featured Kamala Harris’ support for providing taxpayer-funded gender transition-related medical care for detained immigrants and federal prisoners.
“She didn’t even react to it, which was even more devastating,” Newsom said, suggesting upward of 90 percent of Americans disagreed with Harris’ position. “Then you had the video [of Harris] as a validator. Brutal,” Newsom added. “It was a great ad.”

Dude definitely has presidential aspirations for 2028. This is the first sensible thing he's ever said. The strategy is a page straight out of Obama's playbook; falsely position yourself as a Centrist in order to appeal to the people in the middle of the political spectrum.

If Newsom wants to run for POTUS he has to come out against dudes in girls sports. It's an 80-20 issue. He's not sincere but he has to play the game in order to have any chance of winning.
