Arrambide is a bad catcher right now.

The kid is definitely not ready defensively

Yea dude has surprised me at how raw he is, he looks the part though. Just not mature and polished as Curiel.

Seems a little lazy with his glove and footwork. People on base and he was trying to backhand a short hop.

He'll likely be the highest drafted catcher we've ever had. The tools are there. He needs polish, reps, and refinement.

He was Bad tonight.
I hope he bounces back quickly!

He reacts very late. Makes me wonder if he is having vision issues

He is the #1 Catcher last year. Top 10 MLB prospect.
Blame the pitchers that can't throw it over the plate.

Agreed (right now)
Almost all these guys were a little bit “hung over” tonight. It’s called the “Human Condition.” I love this club. We’ll be fine.

Did you not see balls bouncing off his glove? Kid had horrible game. Hope he bounces back. Sometimes guys play head games with themselves. He will be ok in due time. Built like a catcher, his footwork is bad.

How he hit 23 bombs last year with that swing path is beyond me!

Haha what’s fricking retarded statement. Hopefully Ifindretards finds you

Oh don't say that. I said the same thing that he's not impressive at the plate and was crucified.

You have never played catcher for sure. 90% were catchable or blockable but not being lazy on one knee. I could still catch better than arrambide and Neal being fat and forty for 3 innings no more.

If he was drafted in one of the first 15-20 picks he would not be at LSU right now, lol. He is not a top 10 MLB prospect.

He may not have been a top 10 prospect, but he was the #13 overall HS prospect per Perfect Game. For reference, Dylan Crews was the #13 overall prospect in his class.

He's got to have the yips. If he was that bad in practice he never would get to play
