In the mountains of so cal up at Big Bear lake there is a bald eagles nest that has a live cam on it 24/7. This morning 2 of the eggs hatched, just waiting for the 3rd. Feedings have started, hopefully the weather co-operates this year.

That's freakin' cool.
I started watching at the perfect time. The eagle was tearing up a fish.

There are two live cams on Kincaid lake in Rapides Parish. I have seen myself on both of them

Peregrine Falcons have nested 100' or so behind my back deck. Looks as if the female is sitting on eggs but I have yet to see the male bring her anything to eat.

There is a nest in Guntersville Al that I visited a few weeks ago to get some pictures and there were 3 young eagles in the nest. Went Sunday and there was no activity around the nest. Talked to someone later in the day and found out all 3 baby eagles had died. They suspect bird flu.

One of them just brought a coot in and they switched places sitting on the little one.

That third better hatch or it will be so far behind it wont stand a chance. I had one fly over in South Shreveport last week.

There’s one on the river road, just south of LSU.
Just across from the model airplane air strip by Farr Park.

Saw one sitting on the spillway nest this morning. That nest has been active at least 15-20 years that I recall but possibly quite a bit longer. Always cool to see.

I've been watching Jackie and Shadow since the beginnings of Covid.
Jackie is the female (larger with a wider beak)
I use old cell phones and WIFI at home and at work 24/7.
Those two work very well together, with Shadow having no problem sitting on the eggs to give Jackie a break.
Quite beautiful.
Currently getting snowed on.
Two out of the three eggs have hatched.
Last year they also had three eggs. None of them hatched.

How long does that egg have to hatch before it is going to be too far behind?

That little black spot on the top of the egg is a "pipping", where the chick breaks through the shell. Started at 10:21 California time this morning, so there's a chance.

Those are some pretty brutal conditions to keep those little ones warm.
They have to take some really small pieces in their beaks to feed the eaglets.
