He was a bright spot in the early 90s as a captain on the DL, and he earned 1990 and 91 Second-Team All-SEC (AP) and a 1990 First-Team All-SEC (UPI). He also was a 3rd round pick and played in the league from 92-99. I don’t know the cause of death, just saw one of his old teammates make a social media post about it. He was 55. RIP

Hate to hear that. Mr. Boutte was good people and a hell of a ball player. Enjoyed watching him during some not so great years of tiger ball. He was a shining star when we needed it most

I’m a Sulphur boy, and I remember him being one bad dude at LC-B before doing the same for our Tigers, albeit in some lean years. I hate seeing that he has passed far too soon. May the big fella rest in peace.

Man, I hate to hear that. He played when I was at LSU. Not exactly the heyday of LSU football, but I went to every game and always enjoyed watching those guys play.

Prayers to him and his family. RIP, Mr Boutte.

RIP. So many of those guys, especially linemen, are physical wrecks from the beating they took over the years and carrying all that extra weight around.
