He is by far the most well rounded superstar of the modern era. And at 40, he is still playing at an elite level. The whole body of work over 22 seasons speaks for itself.

Never liked Lebron's politics, but his overall character and the way he reps the league is second to none.

And Jordan would be even better into today's NBA where you can't hand check or play physical defense.
Jordan was a skinny guy and took a beating back in the day.
In today's kinder/gentler NBA he would be an absolute freak show.
He would literally score at will.
Today's NBA is a 3 point shooting contest.
Today's NBA guys would have no clue how to deal with the likes of Jordan.

That alone means he can never be considered a great

Load management, and sissy NBA rules make comparing eras impossible.

Jordan was must-see TV. LeFlop is not

You mean just because LeBron has over 41,000 points, over 11,000 rebounds and assists? Or maybe because LeBron has scored at least 25 points per game for 20 straight years? Or since he turned 40, LeBron is now scoring over 27 points per game with 3-40 point games?

Yeah, LeBron has got this basketball thing down pretty good.

This tale completely ignores the reality that you couldn’t play zone defense. In the Jordan era they would overload one side of the court and let people dominate in an isolation style of play.

Shaq then came along and completely broke the NBA and they started letting teams play zone defense.

Then players started playing smarter and spreading the floor with three point shooting. The level of shooting skill has kind of killed some enjoyment in the NBA because people are just so good.

The offense and defense is way better and more complex than it was back in the day. The best players are even more skilled than back then.

It really is Space Jam and Dream Team nostalgia that causes people to hate on the perception of the skill and talent of the NBA. Players also generally treat it as a business instead of a passion now, but that can be seen across US society in every job. People don’t identify with what they do anymore.

Lebron would have dominated at his size and skill in the 80s and 90s. He would have feasted on iso ball. The guy also changed his game to evolve with the NBA and continued to dominate.

Apparently these fools don’t remember what it looked like when Jordan tried to use his left hand. And they’ve never seen his teammates discussing how lazy and selfish he was on defense.

They were seduced by a media hype campaign. They’re Swifties.

Kamala voters, and people who do not think Lebron is possibly the greatest basketball player ever. The two dumbest types of people on earth.

These folks don’t remember that’s Jordan was pure arse on the Dream Team.

Lost to some high school kids and then was THE worst offensive player on the team in the Olympics. I guess he played good defense on that little white guy the Bulls drafted from whatever country.

ETA: Holy shite I just realized if Jordan played in the social media era he’d be wrecked.

I’m not picking a side but MJ was taller and bigger than most of the shooting guards he played against. He was up against the likes of Dumars, Ainge, Scott /cooper from the lakers, Hornacek, Reggie miller, John Starks etc- MJ was the one playing physical.

At this point people are dug in on Lebron vs Jordan so nobody is changing their opinion. While I do think Jordan had the better career because of the titles, I almost feel like you can argue Lebron is a better player because of the insane longevity of his career. Doing it an elite level for 22 years is impressive.

Being the “GOAT” with only 4 titles in 22 years is pretty arse.

I don’t see how anybody reasonable can be unimpressed with how LeBron is playing at40. You don’t have to like him, but acting like this isn’t impressive is just foolishness.
