You can also play it twice and get different courses with their 27 hole layout.
Gulf Shores golf club is right down the road and has gotten more than expensive through the years BUT if I was staying down in Ft Morgan (Beach Club, etc) I’d probably do something like singles at Gulf Shores Golf Club since it’s more open and ripe for good scores. Change the format a bit and start with singles.
Then, one morning round at Peninsula then an afternoon round at Kiva. Penninsula the next day. I’d just make sure that when you book penninsula tee times make sure you ask them for a different 9 on one of the rounds.
This is also coming from someone who hates driving 45+ minutes to / from the course on golf trips.

Rock Creek on the way in or out
or even Magnolia Grove in Mobile which has an added bonus for a Ryder Cup. It has a par 3 executive course which could add to the matchups after a regular round on Crossings or Falls.

I had my bachelor trip last April and we played at Peninsula and Craft Farms. I will say that both courses are fun but surprisingly Peninsula they were much more lenient than craft farms.
Craft farms has people living on the course who are major sticks in the mud. The starter came to our group multiple times to tell use we couldn't play more than 4 on a hole and our music was too loud. We did have 15 guys playing but we did a big scramble so we were playing very fast. They had multiple workers come out and watch us. They were looking for reasons to kick us off.
Something to think about if you pick craft farms. Peninsula I felt was a better course and they didn't care what we did out there. Maybe it was just that day and the course wasnt crowded but they were good.

No offense but unless you have a course rented to yourself every place in America is going to tell you something about a group of 15. That’s crazy.
We played craft farms on my cousins bachelor party as two groups of 4 with a ton of drinking and music. Had no problems out there other than we all played like shite

You arent wrong but we split it up how they asked us and were not slowing play or anything. They went over the top to watch us. They just kept saying they have residents calling the clubhouse complaining.

We are playing 18 at Peninsula, Craft Farms has 2 courses so 36 there, and 18 at Kiva on a Masters weekend golf trip in about 6 weeks.
We have 8 guys and play 2-man teams Ryder cup style. Will give an update on current conditions once we finish up.

As someone above me said, Peninsula, Rock Creek in Fairhope, and Magnolia Grove in Mobile. Easily the best courses; Craft Farms is good also.
IMHO, Kiva Dunes is vastly overrated.

It’s pricey but stay 1-2 night at the Grand in Point Clear. Lakewood and Azalea worth the cost and the amenities at the Grand are top 5 in the South.
If golf is the driver more than beach, Steelwood in Loxley has large cabins for group events. It’s a secluded course with a few lake holes. Some of the greens are quirky with the redesign but the layout rivals Lakewood.

Just following up after our trip. All of the courses were great and the hospitality was first class for the most part.
Peninsula:
-We only played the Marsh/Lakes layout. Conditions were great and greens rolled true. I felt like I could hit driver off the tee more than you would think on the Marsh side. The lakes side felt much more like forced layups off the tee that required thought. Both layouts were a lot of fun, though. Can’t say enough about the staff here. Felt like it was the best of the bunch in terms of being taken care of.
Craft Farms:
- Played the Cotton Creek and the Cypress Bend course. Accommodations were excellent as well as the food. Cart girls were plentiful, and the clubhouse lunch was really good. It was nice to grab lunch and relax before our afternoon 18.
- Cotton Creek: This may have been my favorite round of the weekend. Just a great mix of thoughtful holes, as well as holes you can just tee it up and let it fly. I liked this one a ton.
-Cypress Bend: Felt like your typical resort course. Pull driver and hit wedge in. We enjoyed it liquored up in the afternoon, but there weren’t a whole lot of memorable holes. Possibly a result of the liquor, but I doubt it. Nice course but a little boring.
Kiva:
- Surprisingly the worst hospitality of the 3 locations. Didn’t see a single cart girl for the first 8 holes. Course was in really good shape. We stunk it up on the front 9 for the most part, but tore it up on the back 9. Back 9 feels like a typical back and forth group of nine holes, but it’s still fun.
All in all Gulf Shores is a great guys golf trip location. If you can’t go have fun there, then I’d probably say that you’re the problem and not the courses. Maybe that’s just the opinion of someone who’s not all that picky, but at the end of the day it’s all about the company you keep and we have a great group.
Hope you enjoy your trip.
