Real shame about Gregg Popovich not coming back this season.

I know the majority of the MSB enjoys both Pop's Coaching and his Social Commentary.
Do you think the NBA is a better product when Pop is on the Bench and just as important in front of the postgame press conference microphone?
Get Well Soon, Coach!

Pop has been absolute garbage the last 7 seasons. What a broken human.

he hasn't been a good basketball coach in nearly a decade and he's clearly fricked up in the head.

I don’t think it makes a bit of difference. The era of coaching giants ends when Pop is done. Players control the league now more than ever. Riley, Phil, Pop, and a few others commanded respect from players in the modern era. I don’t think we see that anymore.

He was a product of Robinson, Duncan, Ginobilli and Parker. If it wasn’t for those guys Pop would be irrelevant.

And Phil had Jordan, Pippen, Kobe, Shaq.
The NBA is always about players. No coach with multiple titles did so without HoF caliber players.

I've just started following the NBA again the last couple years (since it is now legal to bet on it). I had been tuned completely out for like 20 years and had to re-learn everything. Like I had no idea who Giannis and Joker were.
Anyway, the point is that the first thing I noticed was that I had no idea who in the hell all the coaches were. I remembered Pop, and kinda knew who Spoelstra was, but none of these other guys make you think "he is the next Pat Riley or Phil Jackson"
The Bucks won a title with a guy who looks like your Uncle Larry, now he is busy fricking up the Suns.
The Jazz and Grizzlies have kids coaching their teams. I have no idea where the Celtics guy came from. And of course there are a few random players that I remember who are now coaches, but none of them are particularly special.

He's 76 years old, in failing health, and the last few years of his career have been embarrassingly awful. And that's to say nothing of the spectacle he makes of himself off the court
Not sure misguided loyalty to him is worth having a toilet franchise for the next decade.

If you’d really been tuned out for 15-20 years - especially to the extent where you claim you didn’t know a couple of the biggest MVP/ best in the world type players - why would you know the coaches?
Let’s say it’s 2005 and you’re coming off a similar “no NBA” period, isn’t the coaching pool kinda similar? Some former players you might recognize, a few long term coaches you probably knew before your hiatus and a bunch of guys you probably never heard of.

Because he doesn't like Obese horse hair. You know why.

Now all we need is for Kerr to get the frick out. As shitty as Kerr is, he’s a good coach. Pop is flat out overrated. The only reason he is “respected” is because he’s a left wing hack.

Screw that communist POS

I'm sure part of Pop is permanently changed by his wife's passing but he's been an unbearable self-righteous ignorant for quite some time now.
He needs to simply fade away, but the NBA loves it's staunch left wing image.
