Crawfish Question.

In west texas. Boiling two sacks tomorrow. Can i leave them in the sack in an icechest outside? The low tonight is 20.

That's pretty chilly. I'd bring them inside a garage at least.

Leave the ice chest drain open just in case some of the ice melts before it drops to 20 degrees

I’d put the ice chest in shed or something. No ice on inside

As someone else said, I probably would keep them in my garage. Also, be sure they can get some air….don’t close the ice chest completely. I have had an entire sack die when I sealed an ice chest up over night.

20 degrees is really cold for crawfish, my concern is they would all be dead by the next day. I would actually bring them inside put the ice chest in the bath tub with ice in it and the drain open to let the water out just to be safe.
