Travel Jobs For Retirees

I remember seeing a thread around November about jobs for retirees and someone posted a link which provided vehicle relocation services. The company seemed to like to hire retired executives.
I am old and can't remember the company or find the thread.
Can anyone help or remember the thread?

I just got retired after 36 years at the Federal Reserve. Pension is strong, but I wouldn’t mind something like that on the side. Let me know if you find it.

I have not been able to find the thread or the site visited in my history.
There are several companies out there loke this I think. Search driveaway companies.
However I have not found anything that was as appealing on the surface as I saw last November.

We have several(8) auto dealerships across the state, and we typically hire safe, retired drivers to move vehicles from dealership to dealership...

Dealer trades are also often driven and occasionally they need a parts runner.

It’s cool. I’m not saying anything like if you gotta worry about money don’t retire. I get it. Some people have to, some people want to.
To me it’s depressing to think about having a job in retirement. If I like doing something I do it. I don’t need to be paid especially if it’s for someone else. That becomes a job you end up being responsible to.
But hey if you like wood working and make chairs and sell them. That’s cool. That not a job, that’s you making money off your hobby.

Gonna need a travel car trailer and a big arse diesel truck.
I served with joel steele. He did that as a starting gig when he left active duty, lead to buying a lumber mill and a flippin axe franchise, and got him the cash to dragrace his mustang to a world record stick shift coyote time. Last i checked before i deleted FB he had traded the wife and truck in for new models and switched over to hydro seeding with the truck.

The idea is to try and “retire” relatively early and have a part time no stress gig that either gets you to social security or simple stack $ away.
I left full time work at 50 and work part time. Paying off house, still putting into 401k, taking excellent trips and hitting gym more.

I think the Executive Core Competency / SCORE Service Corps of Retired Executives market is going to be HUGE. Many new managers are flat clueless. If it isn't emphasized on the interwebs, they just don't know about it. I helped a very together 20 something write their very FIRST check last week.
Easy one for less responsibility is car dealers. Parts runners, but they also hire folks for pick up and delivery of people who are getting cars fixed. You can choose the day/days you work. Not good for folks who viscerally hate traffic. Might be good to meet folks, but not in a Taxi/Uber risky kinda way.
Volunteering at worthwhile spots is another. I am eyeing a few days per week at a second hand store that sells donated goods to help people pay for memory care.

My cousin and her husband were doing this a few years back. I think they drove for Hertz. They would schedule 2 vehicles to a common destination and we're traveling together with standard expenses paid in addition to wages. They often drove long distance, halfway across the country or more and upon arrival would have a flight back to their home. They were ex military and enjoyed the opportunity to see a lot of the country. Once they arrived at a destination they were free to proceed with whatever course of action they chose and they did a lot of sightseeing at various locations before returning home.
