Headlight bulb recommendations for my truck?

Admittedly, I’m not the brightest bulb in the store, but I’m looking for some new headlight bulbs for my 2017 Lariat. The ones I have now are the old school yellow looking ones, and they don’t really illuminate the road as well as I’d like. I’m trying to see which ones would be best for me, but it’s a little overwhelming
I kind of want ‘white’ lights, but not the obnoxious ones that blind oncoming traffic. And I’d really rather not have to alter any wiring or anything like that
Any recs? Will probably change out my high and low beams at the same time
Thanks in advance

Headlight bulbs is rabbit hole.
If you go LED, which are basically all plug and play replacememt now, there is almost no chance you are going get 'non-blinding' high beams (and often low beams unless you really point them down).
HID lights are probably ideally what you want, but many of those require some sort of wiring adapter setup and they're very expensive ($100/light for good ones). It's not hard, but just requires research. Hid lights are also going to be the ideal 'white' you are looking for.
The colors go on Kelvin scale. The higher the number, the bluer the light. The lower, the warmer.
4000-5000K is about pure white.
6000K is basically what all LEDs are and have a slight blue tinge, but nothing over dramatic. Basically still very white at night.
For a decent LED, go with the Sylvanias they sell at Autozone. They're about $100 for a set of two.
If you want super high end LEDs, got with Morimoto 2Stroke 4.0 (about $200-250 for a set of 2). Those are going to be very bright and last a long time.
If you don't want any of those options, just get high end whiter Halogen. Look for the top line Phillips first. The Sylvania silver are OK, and probably an improvement over stock, but not by much. They're also a touch cooler/whiter.
Halogens are naturally going to be the dimmest and warmest no matter what. It's just the limitation of the technology.
HIDs were kind of the gold standard about 10-15 yrs ago. Now LEDs are mostly cheaper and easier to install and brighter by a touch.

There's a guy that installs some great ones in Brusly but they're the bright ones if you're interested

Jack explained it really well…I will only add the experience with my wife’s old and current 4Runner (my Tundra has white LEDs and they are awesome).
2006 4Runner had halogens and they weren’t great. I ended up doing a slight mod (trimming plastic on bulb) and installed the high beam bulb in the low beam location, definitely helped.
2018 4Runner…installed LED Morimoto units, wife is thrilled as they look and work so much better than stock. They are expensive but “buy once, cry once is my motto”.

Lasfit.
Super easy DIY, affordable & designed vehicle specific fit - eliminating throwing light everywhere (to the best of design abilities).
Low Beam, High Beam & reverse lights were a game changer on a Silverado

Sea Light direct plug ins for the win.

I second the LasFit recommendation. I put some into my 4Runner and could not be happier.

Also put Lasfit in my 4runner. I used the $39 ones and pointed them down a bit so it wouldn't be in anyone's eyes. 100% improvement.

I got my LED bulbs thru a recommendation here and I believe he's out of Port Allen. Installed everything in his driveway.

I stopped at autozone bought the Sylvania LED replacements when my 2500 went out. They have worked great.

In the classic bulbs, they make brighter and whiter, but in my experience the brighter and whiter you go the shorter they last / better chance they have of burning out. Whether you go filament or LED, with how much of a pain the headlights are to take off, my main factor was longevity so I wouldn't have to do it again. Just food for thought.

This is really very simple. Go to Amazon. Type in the search, your headlight bulb number and the letters "led".
Pick the ones with the highest lumens and highest/best reviews, at the price point you're willing to pay.
Install.
Profit.

I ordered my PIAA bulbs from Amazon. It was easy install. I prefer PIAA bulbs. I've used their products the past 25 yrs
