Great news for the Saints.

And for all the twats who cried about a non rising salary cap and blah blah you can all shut the frick up now.

What a shite summer thread that was.

And crickets from the Karens now that the increased salary cap was annouced. Figures - celebrating the Saints is not the agenda for some.

Anyways the anticipated salary cap spike is huge and almost 10 million more than it was presumed it might be.

Lol! Shiiii, that some serious extra cap space! Very helpful wiggle room.

Also makes all options more possible including cutting big contracts etc.

It’s almost like, except for the COVID anomaly, Loomis knows it’s going to go up every year

Wow, $10 million more, which still leaves the Saints about $47 million over the cap. Not great, Bob.

If you’re gonna troll, you ought to know what you’re talking about first.

Saints still in the hole while everyone else has additional cap space to sign free agents.

We are still screwed.

Lattimore counts for 30 mil in dead money.

Going to have to cut some smaller guys like jt gray, Jamaal Williams, and Saunders

Each one will save between 2 and 3 mil and leave behind a mil or 2 in dead money per player.

You could even cut moreau and save his entire salary for this yr. It's like 4.5 mil but he is actually worth his salary.

We have to clear 47M.

You want to make a run at the moves to make that happen?

that didn’t solve a fricking thing. It’s just like a credit card getting into more of a credit limit. We’re still in the world of fricking hurt because of mismanagement.

You must have missed the massive pissfest of moaning about the salary cap not going up by much this summer.

That is beyond his capabilities.

He even supported signing Carr

I hate the way they do trades. If you take on said player, you get his contract. Game over

Very reasonable to get to 30 mil or so in cap space. That ain’t much but it’s easier to clear the deficit than you think, whether that’s post June 1 cutting Carr or keeping him as cutting him next year. Only way we’d end up with nothing is eating the whole cap hit this year with a pre June 1 cut.

Yea it’s great this will embolden Mickey even more.

I honestly wanted us to get squeezed more so it’ll be a shite show and he get forced out.

Still in cap hell. Loomis is still here and not going anywhere.

Woulda saved this amount or more trading Chase at the deadline on the cap since he signed a one year deal. Another frick up by Loomis.
