Have become so soft as a society...I remember early 2000's sitting at the box on a Sunday game vs Long Beach with a few flurries falling.

Actually surprised by this. Figured there was no chance they'd cancel given the amount of money this game would make them. Admittedly, I could be entirely wrong about how the finance side of it works.

We dont know the details of which side ultimately was the reason here. I know Jay was not happy about playing 2 mid-week games he said in an interview recently. Combine that with cold weather he might have been the reason this one got canned.

Representatives from each school are working to re-schedule the game at a later date, and the new date and time are expected to be announced later this (Wednesday) afternoon.

It is going to be tough to reschedule unless we play Tues of next week. We play DBU next Wed leading into the Frisco series that weekend and we already have two mid-week games the following week against NDSU. The week after we only have one midweek game but that leads into the start of SEC play that weekend.

combination of really wet conditions in the outfield (Thibodaux had 1.5" rain overnight) AND the wind chill tonight led to the mutual decision to postpone the game. They may be considering playing Monday at Alex Box, and LSU go to Thibodaux for the April play date scheduled...
