There is a difference between saying the wrong thing based on incorrect data and willfully manufacturing incorrect information while ignoring correct data.

So they defame the richest dude on the planet, and don't consider that if their story is not straight, he just might come at them with a lawsuit. Also they never took into account that Elon has the means to take it all the way to the supreme court, and it would be entertainment for him.
