Opening is kind of weak, but I guess Lorne is throwing his pal Paul Simon a bone here.
I have no clue who the chick is. That's bad.
Will never forget the 40th anniv where they treated Miley Cyrus like she was a combo of Madonna and Barbara Streisand and Meryl Streep, and treated Norm Macdonald like he was a half-season featured player who had got on air once.
Maybe this will be better.

The Steve Martin intro was solid. John Mulaney’s acknowledging “of the 800+ hosts they’ve had only 2 have committed murder” got a laugh out of me

I’m not shitting on Steve Martin, but…
He’s right. The opening monologue is the worst part of the show (Chappelle excluded)
He maintained that tradition. Just terrible.

Mulaney just threw an Alec baldwin and OJ Simpson murder joke out.

I'm watching it. It's sucked for quite a few years now, but I have very fond memories of the olden days.

This bit is bad.
Threw a Kardashian a bone.

It’s just a shitload of callbacks and nods stuffed into one skit

Tom Hanks with the random MAGA bullshite. Maybe that was the reason for the trouble I heard he was causing on the set of this.

Can't believe they pulled Eddie Murphy off the skit for this crap.

That Tom Hanks MAGA bit fell flat. Idiots.

Think that was more of a call back to the Black Jeopardy episode where Doug is in there and ends up winning over the host and the game.
