I know we just got done playing a high school team from Indiana, but I don't think it matters. I can't think of another LSU team with 10+ guys who can work in at least the mid-90s. I think we'll have one of the 5 best weekend rotations in the country, but what I feel could separate us is the depth of quality arms in the pen. Schmidt, Rizzy, and Evans all have the potential to be elite. And what's even scarier is we didn't see Conor Ware, who will undoubtedly be one of the better left-handed arms in the country, or Guidry. If the younger guys continue to fill up the zone like they did this weekend, we could be looking at the deepest and most complete pitching staff in the history of LSU baseball. Thank God for baseball season!

Throw only 4 pitchers for the weekend and end up choking?

Yeah AnM as well, Prager is legit. I think they may start 3 lefties?

I’d assume Ware, Cowan and Guidry all throw Tuesday. So many arms.

I’m hopping on the bandwagon. We may not have the best pitcher in the country. But the depth of the pitching staff on this team is actually wild.

I really think we have at least 5-6 guys that could be starter in the sec right now if needed. Some years you’re lucky if you have 3. Hell it was only a few years ago Hilliard was carrying the team.

Meanwhile, in Oklahoma, a young Cameron Johnson went 5, walked 5, struck out 3, allowed 2 ER.

The way this staff pitched this weekend, that Saturday starter may not have seen anything but weekday relief by committee here.

It’s amazing.

Arkansas is the only team that has similar depth. A&M and Tennessee are right behind but more top heavy.

These threads are always hilariously stupid. One series against nobody, and we have the deepest staff? I’d venture to guess that you can’t even name the number one guy on SEC staffs, much less the whole country.

Did you see how each of the guys that pitched this weekend performed? They all for the most part looked incredible with their abilities.
