LSU currently sits at 2-10 in the conference with 6 games left . The only game we will be favored to win is our next one against South Carolina at home . After that we finish with Florida , Tennessee, Miss State , Kentucky , and A & M . It seems we will finish on a 1-5 note which would bring us to a 3-15 record to end the year . Let’s say we lose our first game in Nashville and at that point our season is over and we start figuring out of the what next year brings . The big question is does Woodward pull the plug now and start trying to turn this thing around , or do we waste another year and continue to get further and further behind the rest if the league ?

I’m sure Fat Woodward’s mind is already made up. I doubt anything that happens will change that. I bet he’s coming back

So we finish 3-15, then a first-round, or even second-round loss in the SEC tourney.... McMahon is cooked

I'll stand by what I've been saying all year - CMM will be back next year.

And it's not an opinion based on whether or not it's the right or wrong decision, it's based on what I believe Scott and LSU will do.

I do think the way it went at home vs. Texas and Ole Miss forced some things out in the open that were really only being talked about by a very few folks here. It was a tree falling in the forest situation - there was no angst, outrage or pitchforks.

But after those two games I think it forced some conversation on a broader stage and my perception was, someone in the AD fed Mascona some info about NIL payments relative to the rest of the SEC and that LSU will put more into it for hoops next year in hopes that will fix the problem. I think that will be the company line.

We win the last game against A&M and the players carry CMM on their shoulders ala Les Miles. And we suffer another year of him.

Hope this nightmare never comes true.

We will finish 4-14, with momentum going into next year. MM will have NIL much more NIL money to work with next year, and a good nucleus. He isn't going anywhere, and he will have us dancing next year. Book it.

It would be incredibly foolish to let 4-5 games override the previous 90.

Look no further than NC State. They were set to fire their HC going into the ACC Tournament last season after (likely) failing to reach the NCAAT. They then go on the heaters of all heaters wining not just the ACC tournament, but getting to the Fina Four.

This year they are 10-15 (3-11) in a weak ACC. At least NC State had a Final Four run to hang their hat on. LSU going 3-4 to end the season with 2 wins over the bottom of the league is NOT a reason to think greatness is coming next season

As was said the promise of putting more into NIL money seems to indicate McMahon will get another year. That indicates a lot of the blame is being put on that.

It’s not a promise or even a factual story. These tards heard Matt Mascona float this theory and have eaten it up like good little wet brained sheep. It’s not real, we’ve had two top 15 classes and multiple 5* recruits since he’s been here.

The more NIL money next year is very true . I’ve had two people tell me that are on staff that they are expecting a big increase in NIL money next year and finally getting what they are asking for . I don’t believe anything will change though , and more money isn’t going to fix this problem
