I never was a huge fan. I really liked Holy Wood but never bought any of his other albums. This new album though is great on first listen. Seems much more rock and anthemic than his earlier albums.
Not that it's saying much but it blows most new rock out the water.

Antichrist Superstar and Mechanical Animals were amazing 90s records.

Portrait of an American Family was also a solid record. I miss the days when his band felt more like a band instead of just a solo artist.

Mechanical Animals was the last album of his I listened to but Holywood and this new one have gotten good reviews so maybe I'll get around to checking those out one day. Antichrist Superstar is the best thing Trent Reznor has ever done

Agreed. It’s way less industrial overkill than most of his music. The production is quite good. Sick as the secrets within and Raise the red Flag are both good songs.

It's a solid album for an artist that's been at it for over 30 years. Nod if you Understand is the only song I'm not crazy about. Every other song is great, even from 1st listen.

Yep came out a few months ago. I almost went to Biloxi just to see him open for FFDP. Supposedly another album coming soon. Like a Part 2.

Sounds like something Alice Cooper passed on.

To me it’s got kind of a Ghost vibe.

Except he didn’t do it. It was mainly Dave Ogilvie and Sean Beavan.

I’m happy he’s sober and rocking again, but the way Tyler Bates records makes the drums sound flimsy.

Holywood was the last record that I felt really had something to say. After that, he kinda felt like a parody of himself.

I'd give Sean way more credit than Dave, Dave was detrimental during a chaotic recording period.

Cocaine should have been given an executive producer credit

Antichrist still goes hard.

Good to see Manson in a good spot. People around him have said he's as clear headed as he's been in decades. Sober, lost weight, and is taking care of himself. I assume its showing in his performances as well.

Hard to believe I used be into this music.

Not trashing it, If I have to choose it would be this over that SB crap. I'm just in a different place now and I do not feel the same about hearing stuff like this like I used to.
