“There is no office of the United States, other than the President, with the full power of the Executive Branch, and the sweeping authority now vested in a single unelected and unconfirmed individual is antithetical to the nation’s entire constitutional structure,” they continued. The states — Arizona, Michigan, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington in addition to New Mexico — are asking the court to bar Musk and his DOGE team from taking a wide range of actions.

What is Musk’s actual position? What is his formal job title?

Good. Let them waste time and money. They will lose.

Perhaps these states should become their own country, which could happen without a Civil War.. Draw the lines.. They run their new country the way they want to run it.. We run ours the same way..
Win/Win for all involved..
I have a feeling they don't want that though..

Trump’s bird dog. It doesn’t matter. He serves at the pleasure of the president. Therefore he is an extension of the executive branch.

Does not work directly for the government but best described as a consultant with the highest top secret clearances. Is it his job that bothers you or the fact that his team has discovered illegal, fraudulent or incompetence in the spending of American taxpayers money?

You sure do seem to be personally invested in not having this stuff looked into.
I wonder why that would be?

There is a reasonable position here that Trump is giving access without an appropriate amount of vetting. I get that, but that hurdle is easily overcome.

The government can't hire consultants and act on their recommendations?
That will be news to a lot of people.

What do they sue for?
I don't have a degree in law so I can not understand them. In my opinion, the DOGE is similar to consultants or audit firm when you want to cut cost or check fraud.

We don’t give a shite what party they belong to, we want the fraud and corruption exposed and punished.
They only want those on the right punished, and are embarrassed and therefore protective and excusing of those on the left exposed.
They’re not Americans, they’re partisan hacks of the left.
