When prices went up under Biden, people felt powerless to the Biden administration.

Trump's in a street fight with the world screwing us over and American's that voted for Trump likes a fight. I'll pay a little more to do my part.

The people that are bitching are the same people that will order a10.00 combo at a fast food joint on uber eats and end up paying double for the meal then turn around and fuss.

It’s pretty simple. Prices going up with something to show for it> prices going up with nothing show for it. I’m ok with short term pain for long term gain

Hope your right, my experience tells me that when prices go up, rarely do they go back down. And the history on tariffs says that they tend to stay in place.

Well that's what trump tells you is there all screwing us over... I happen to think our allies have been pretty good trading partners and military allies....they expect a lot from us but also have given us the leadership role in those relationships..... Might not cut off the nose to spite our face here.....

Jesus Christ my man. You have been conditioned to be a loser. You need to grow a pair, and man the frick up.

You don’t have to be a loser.

Prices don’t necessarily need to go back down though. Correcting trade imbalances have economic benefits and should theoretically increase American purchasing power even if prices didn’t come down

MAGA faithful vs Inflation is a true immovable object vs irresistible force battle royale.

But . . . much like Father Time inflation is unbeaten as a force of political upheaval.

All of us rational people know that when fixing something you have to deal with temporary hardships. That’s reality. It’s what happens afterwards that matters

They’re reciprocal tariffs. They’re being treated the way they treat us.

Anybody whining about tariffs never took an economics class. Trumps whole premise is supply side economics. Tariffs and lower taxes will bring companies back to the US and increase production at a lower cost. This increases supply which in turn allows the demand side (consumers in the US) to have more choices.

Choices are what drives down price as long as you don’t have a coalition form, which is controlled by anti trust laws. His theory is increase supply and lower taxes which both create jobs and puts more money in consumers pockets. It’s very doable if our own congress can get it’s shite together
