How are you supposed to fill a taco shell without it breaking apart given only 2 millimeters of opening at the top?

Who ever thought this would be a good design for taco shells?

Can you still get fresh taco shells? Every single one I've bought in the last 3 years has been stale. I've tried Ortega. I've tried store brands. I've emptied whole shelves looking at expiration dates. We still eat them, but they are, as the youngsters say, "stale af."

I blame all the chatter about "white people tacos." People think they should eat aUtHEntIc mExICaN fOOd. We've been taco-shamed.

It takes the precise time in the oven. The time between rubbery and burnt is 3.8 seconds. Good luck

I have considered, but not fully explored, that possibility.

soft tacos are better in every way.

If you want some crunch throw some tortilla chips in it.

Do yall ever think about how we'll eat a whole basket of tortilla chips...

And 4 tortilla chips equal a tortilla?

Would you just sit at a table eating whole tortillas?

Pro tip, use soft shells and this doesn’t matter

You are spreading them too far apart before putting them in the oven and they are collapsing. Just separate them like 1/2 inch so the other taco shell will hold them open in the oven. Also leave the paper thing in the first shell so it don't collapse too

Well, we try, but hipsters like you are kind of ruining it for us. I haven't seen a box of Ortega taco shells that wasn't expiring within 30 days in years. Meanwhile, the frickin' cilantro and mole are probably trucked in daily.

If you're talking about crunchy tacos, go to any Mexican restaurant and they will sell them to you dirt cheap

These restaurants get the raw corn tortillas raw and sell dozens to hundreds of them a day. Any one of them will sell you a dozen fresh out the fryer for $8 and that's a markup
