They have virtually little talent on the current roster going forward. The future looks bleak. And yet.....

As I recall, it’s been four years since we even made the f*cking playoffs

How in the ever living f*ck is Mickey Loomis still employed?

Next to winning, this should be his second leading performance indicator.

Being that far negative AND a downward losing trend should be slam dunk firing.

It’s not like we’re the Eagles buying a SB win. That’s understandable.

Commanders, Vikes, and Lions are in a great position. Mainly the commanders bc they have a future all star QB going into his second season and the most cap space in the NFC.

Yeah, we leveraged everything to give Drew and Sean a couple more chances... we failed. We all knew this was coming and accepted it

Reality hurts for the Saints situation. Yet there are so many ppl not worried. My question is why aren’t you worried. Let me guess: Kellen Moore will fix everything right?

That’s the point. That happened 4 to 5 years ago. When it failed, Loomis should’ve completely reevaluated and rebuilt with the idea of getting us out of salary cap hell. Further, we should’ve traded off our big contracts and gotten draft picks to rebuild our roster.

Instead, he just doubled down and kept us in this perpetual salary cap hell where we can’t rebuild. It’s now gonna take at least 4 to 5 more years to get out of this sh!t, IF AND ONLY IF we start now. and there is absolutely no indication that Loomis is even considering this.

The combo of cap and performance would have 31/32 GMs fired. Hell Jerry might even fire himself.

It’s amazing how well some teams draft, replenish their rosters from the draft, and still maintain a solid cap.

Loomis reminds me of a guy I went college with. He maxed out his credit card and couldn’t pay it so he got another card and paid the first with that one. lol

Yet you kinda post in every single one bitching about them like a moth to flame. You’re literally doing the same thing repeating your outrage each time.

I don’t think we had a thread about this all offseason. Thank you for the hard work and out of the box thinking here.

As a fan that had to watch a cheap owner not want to pay free agents who played well like Pat Swilling, Morton Anderson, Willie Roaf, Quinn Early, Sammy Knight, La'Roi Glover, Terrelle Smith, and Ironhead, I’m glad the organization is willing to pay players and sign free agents like Ben Watson, Darren Sproles, Scott Fujita and others to try to win.

I’m even okay with guys like Cam and Kamara being paid to reward their longtime service and keep them Saints for life.

That being said, it’s time to concentrate on getting draft picks and rebuilding the roster. No more signings to try to win now.

Problem is that Loomis also continued this after they were gone

It's one thing to do it for Drew and Sean

The fact that we were still doing it for Allen and Carr/Dalton/Jameis is what should make everyone irrationally angry.

Except Mickey's second card had a higher limit and interest rate, and he maxed that, too!
