Minor league Hockey

Anyone ever keep up with any minor league hockey? Personally I follow the NAHL with the Shreveport Mudbugs as well as the FPHL with the Monroe Moccasins and the Baton Rouge Zydeco!

If you like the NAHL, check out the USHL - though there are presently no teams in LA. It's the same idea as the NAHL, a lot of players trying to get noticed at the NCAA level.

If you have a favorite NHL team, look up their AHL affiliate. It’s fun to follow the prospects and know what’s ahead for the big teams.

eh, I go to some of the games in Pensacola (fun time with good crowds), but "follows" is a strong word. I'll take a look for highlights for some prospects in the ECHL/AHL for my NHL team.

If we had a team in New Orleans I would definitely follow it again. I am a fan of the Grand Rapids Griffins in the AHL but I don’t follow them as much as the NHL.

If you have ESPN+, they broadcast every single NHL game and you can swap between the home and away broadcasts.

When they moved the Houston Aeros to Iowa, that was the day I would no longer stand the Minnesota Wild.
