USAID didn’t just send aid to Brazil—it funded censorship, backed left-wing activists, and helped rig the 2022 election against Bolsonaro.
Ex-State Department official Mike Benz exposed how the agency ran a “holy war on censorship,” targeting Bolsonaro supporters and suppressing their content online.
Millions flowed to NGOs pushing leftist narratives, including the Felipe Neto Institute, which received U.S. funding while Bolsonaro allies were deplatformed.
USAID also bankrolled Amazon-based activist groups, financed media campaigns designed to manipulate public opinion, and funneled money into Brazilian organizations that pushed for stricter internet regulations.
This wasn’t aid—it was election interference disguised as democracy promotion.
USAID used American tax dollars to decide Brazil’s future, and it likely did similar things in many other countries—all with American taxpayer money.

Even the actual “good aid” they were broadcasting overseas has negative consequences. Providing food in the quantities we did fricked up their agriculture market and helped put farmers out of business. Something tells me USAID also helped kicked the white farmers off their land as well and put it in the hands of people without that skill set

as one of the comments says..
It’s starting to look like Russia may be the good guys.
While I wouldn’t go that far, but I agree with this thought process..
The US is one of the bad guys.. and I had no idea.. none.. zero

There’s no chance USAID was involved in rigging our elections, right guys?
They wouldn’t do that, right??

Dude. I don't know about Russia being that good. But we have absolutely provoked pretty much everything in the last thirty years. Including the Ukraine fiasco.
Just acknowlege Crimea internationally, because they have it and are keeping it no matter what and nobody really gives that big a shite. Give them the russian areas of the Donbass that they happen to be sitting on. Let that little criminal Zelenski retire to Miami.

It’s the same playbook they’ve used in this country for years. Will it finally end? Will the American public finally awaken and realize they’ve been manipulated and financially raped for decades as a result of agency propaganda and rigged elections at every level? Trump is off to a great start but there is a mountain of work to be done and a seemingly endless number of secrets to be exposed.

They don’t hide it anymore. They don’t care if we know.

You guys are pretty naive if you don't think Russia and China are doing the exact same thing. Every country with any means is doing whatever they can to influence other countries. I can guarantee you that the above two countries aren't going to stop, so if we do then we are in trouble.

I remember not too long ago when foreign interference was justification for impeachment.

Ya, not really, we’ve always tried to interfere just like china and Russia always tried. Hell, the Cold War was all about out that from both sides.

Yes, that was kind of my point. They treated it like it was the first time it happened and it was a nothing burger compared to previous attempts.

OK, then let's stop lying about it and stop spewing the democracy word around like it's a religion.
Just admit that the U.S.A. is a criminal enterprise in competition with other criminal enterprises.
In a world of pirates it pays to be the biggest and baddest one. There's something to be said for that.

There's still a difference, when we interfere, most of the time we are trying to get the most democratic side to win. Whereas when Russia interferes, they try to get a dictatorship in place as it's easier for one dictator to control another.

Dude.
The U.S. has a big long history of being cozy with dictators.

Of course we've dealt with dictators before, but usually when that happens it's the case of one dictator vs the other. Situations when there's no chance of a democracy either way.
Obviously our hands aren't clean, but people saying we are somehow worse than Russia, who's killed more of their own Citizens than anyone except the Chinese over the past 100 years, caused the worst nuclear incident and tried to hide it, is quite frankly ridiculous. Somehow Trump and Elon has managed to convince you of that.

Starting to seem like the CIA uses USAID as some sort of front

Oh I'm not saying that.
I think we're the most benevolent criminal enterprise on the world stage.
