How are they "years away" from a legit Batman game after the success of the Arkham series? How did it take them 9 years to push out that garbage Suicide Squad game in this universe?
I will never understand how companies can look an obvious success in the face and just pass on it for over a decade.

There's not much more story to tell in that universe. Joker isn't coming back and Kevin Conroy is dead. Plus they'd have to retcon Suicide Squad.

Move on to Batman Beyond.
Gives a re-imagining of a multitude of villains and a whole new generation of tech.
Or, another idea would be to do the alternate Flash Point Batman, Thomas Wayne.
A brutal, merciless Batman with Martha Wayne as The Joker.
You could go with the Arkham by Gaslight Batman, which would be cool with the old tech and Gordon as Jack the Ripper.

I know it's exhausting but Rocksteady is completely dead largely because ti got taken over by women and gays.
Every single piece of media they are on, it's nothing but LGBT shite and feminist shite. Go check their twitter, go check their website, etc.
It's almost impossible to find a Rocksteady employee on twitter without a pride flag, a palenstine flag, pronouns in bio, etc.
The dude bros who built the studio and the Arkham games people actually enjoyed are long gone.

It’s been over a decade because the studio made the decision to pivot from making solo Batman games. It was their original intent to move on to other things.
Then of course their Suicide Squad game bombed (not because it was S.S. but because folks didn’t want to play a shite GAAS product) and they realized the best way to get back in the good graces of their player base is to go back to what they are good at. Pretty simple really

Suicide Squad was released 9 years after Arkham Knight. It's definitely more than this.
