Goins was part of a robbery I think when he was a coach Carroll High. Something of that nature, but how did he get a job at West Monroe with that record? Shows certainly wouldn't hired him. Jerry Arledge is the one that hired him?

The "word" is that a student made a comment to Goin's step son about his mother. Goins then choked the kid out. To make it worse, it was the wrong kid.

All I have heard is word of mouth traveling around so I"m not sure of the truth to any of it.
Supposedly this guy was the reason West Monroe had trouble hiring a head coach as the new head coach had to keep him on as OC. Rumor was that if he left he would take a portion of the players with him.

West Monroe's football program has turned into a damn soap opera since Arledge retired. It wasn't this bad in the 80s.

Nope. Just don’t understand why a troubled OC at a storied program like WM is such a big part of the HC hire.
