Meet the new boss of USAID! No wonder the approval was so quick and supportive.

Today, Secretary of State Marco Rubio delivered remarks to reporters in El Salvador discussing his role as Acting Director of USAID after President Trump and Elon Musk moved to incorporate USAID into the State Department. Secretary Rubio repeated that USAID must align with U.S. foreign policy and the national interests of the U.S. government.

Same as the old boss!!

Pure fire from new acting director of USAID Marco Rubio:

"Every dollar we spend will be aligned with the national interest of the United States. USAID has a history of ignoring that and deciding that they're a global charity. These are not donor dollars, these are taxpayer dollars. We owe the American people assurances that every dollar we are spending abroad is being spent on something that furthers our national interest."

I feel like he’s acting as if he has no further White House aspirations and truly feels that sec of state has everything he wanted to do with his influence and intellect. Once he got over his distaste for Trump and realized how much someone like Trump needs people like him l, he’s really soared in my book..

Time will tell. Hopefully he learned the error of his past when he teamed up with McCain and Graham on immigration and Iraq. Not his brightest moments.

I'm betting a large portion of that particular grant goes to other, democrat, interests...

We shall see. Marco knows Trump isn't screwing around this time. If he doesn't deliver, Trump will quickly make a change.

I have been very outspokenly skeptical of Rubio for a very long time.

I'm beginning to see him differently. He is passing the litmus test.

I still don't trust Stefanik.

I don't trust Rubio. Hope like hell he is now trustworthy. Seems strange to me to bring in people that were once against you when moles in the first 4 years basically destroyed Trumps agenda. Why take the chance!

So does this mean Peru isn't getting $37,000 for a transgender comic book?

Marco is a realist and a patriot.

That's what we need on the international stage, not some liberal trying to get invited to parties.

A friend told me that there are more NATO officers in Belgrade now than Serbian ones. All of that money bought something, and that was dominance. We tell these countries what to do, and they do it.

During his interview earlier on Fox he said that USAID often undermined the goals of the State Dept. in foreign countries and refused to take State into account at all.
