And no it may not be true country music, but I think a lot of people grew up just regular folks like him with drunk fathers and smoking grandparents.
We are all just human trying to navigate life and even if the ones that find it relatable like me are wrong for it, I can’t help but enjoy hearing someone that keeps it real. A lot of men feel like they are doing all they can just to be not good enough in a woman’s eyes.

Read Morgan Wallen lyrics...then look up lyrics to songs by John Prine, Kris Kristofferson, or Tyler Childers. You can see that songs can be both relatable, and deep.

Morgan’s are deep too. If you only listen to the ones that make it on the radio then yes you don’t have a good concept of his music.
The radio only plays catchy songs.
His best lyrics are the songs you don’t hear unless you’re an actual fan and listen to the albums.
