My Theory: It is Rizzi. Lady Gayle doesn’t want to announce before SB59 for Perception

First, Rizzi is the cheapest route they can go and Mickey knows he can bully him.

What does Lady Gayle care more about than bringing a winning franchise to New Orleans?

Her perception by others. She knows the locals and national media will criticize the organization for the move. And next week is her moment in the Sun where she will receive fake awards and get to a be a socialite with famous people and other owners that don’t often grace the city.

Lady Gayle doesn’t want to get chirped by a Who Dat Fan getting out her limo or leaving a restaurant.

This is why the decision will be announced the Tuesday after the Super Bowl. And season ticket prices will still be increased.

Where does this come from?

For two decades Mickey Loomis was the "cap wizard" who pulled every trick in the book to get Payton whatever 'missing piece' he said he needed to win a title. This board turned 'Loomising' into a verb as we went after high priced free agents, traded up in the draft, etc to try to fill holes in the roster.

Now suddenly everything is Mickey's fault be cause he's an authoritarian wannabe football guru who wants full control of personnel decisions...

He doesn’t want that. But he has turned into that since Payton left, and Allen sucked.

If he hires the right coach he will back off. He is loyal to a fault. With both personnel and players.

He’ll snap out of it… if the right coach is hired.

Just pray.

It’s Moore…….

If somehow it ends-up being Rizzi…
I’m hoping there is a revolt by the ticket holders.

If anything, I think Loomis is angling for a higher up position next to Gayle where he doesn't do anything Saints or Pels related, and instead just manages finances for Gayle

This guy knows as much now about football scouting as he did when he got the job: 0.0

The idea that he wants certain coaches and players is laughable

Waiting until after the SB just to announce Rizzi is the worst PR stunt she could possibly pull.

Lady Gayle

Damn y'all are like pre pubescent girls. When y'all thought rita was going to get the team y'all constantly whines about her moving them. Tom leaves it to Gayle, y'all are happy and then Loomis trying to appease Payton keeps fricking our cap and draft picks only for Payton to quit and now Gayle is the wicked witch from the west.

What do you want? An owner that's calls you to run every decision by you? Seriously people need to get a fricking life. It's a team, it's a game, if they win or lose, screw up every decision, it has no effect on your daily life unless you allow it. It does make some of you look like whiny bitches complaining about a billionaire on a message board daily

Rizzi would be the right play if the saints wanted to bite the bullet and do a hard reset. He would be perfect to drive a tank and then start over next season or the following season when a ton of cap room would be available for the next coach to build

Unfortunately I don’t think Loomis has it in him to actually go that route. He still thinks the roster is “close”

Anything is possible. Without all the injuries this year who knows what happens. Maybe we win the division and get in the dance. I’ve seen a lot of people say how good we looked the first 2 weeks. Then they say well Carolina and Dallas weren’t good football teams. But we did what you supposed to do to bad teams. Destroy them. I really thought when they brought in the Alabama health group we would see a difference, the difference was way in the wrong direction.

I'm with you. I think it has always been Rizzi as well. To me, Moore kind of came out of nowhere. His name only appeared once Brady "withdrew his name from consideration"

I'm not saying he hasnt been on a head coaching team's radar. I think this is some weird ruse by the organization bc they don't want to come off as a destination that everyone turn down while they host the super bowl. So, it is a delay tactic.

Ultimately, the Chiefs will win the super bowl and no way will Philly let KM walk out the door. I think Siranni ends up getting fired when they lose, making him the scapegoat as not being able to win the big one. And the Eagles promote Moore

People will come up with any nonsense.

If it was anyone but Moore, they would announce it right now and get a jump on putting the staff together and have the HC at the Senior Bowl, etc.

Moore might still turn them down but...the Saints obviously intend to have Moore as the HC
