If football or baseball played the #1 team in the country

Both TS and the Box will be packed regardless of how bad our teams are. There is not enough support for MBB. Woodward knows football and baseball are the programs that write his check.

Baseball is more popular but doesn’t make a profit. Pretty much breaks even

What’s your point?
Is this another “Scotty Doesn’t Care” thread?
I think MM is getting fired in March. It won’t happen sooner, though, so I don’t really know what some of y’all want. Is firing MM and immediately announcing the midseason hiring of Will Wade the only thing that would convince you that Scott does care?
Just hang on one more month, and we’ll see how the search goes.

Basketball makes far more money than baseball, but that's mostly for TV contracts.

It wasn’t packed, but it was a decent crowd and the energy was good.
These constant complaints are tiresome and have no effect.

He should get fired in March but wouldn’t shock me if Woodward gives him another year.

It’d be way more surprising to me if he stays. But we’ll see.

The Will Wade situation was bad all around. In hindsight, it would have been great if LSU stuck with Wade and rode it out, but Wade also didn’t make matters easy. It was botched by all involved parties. There’s a great chance that SW tried to hire far more qualified coaches than MM but couldn’t due to the Wade situation.
Woodward doesn’t strike me as a guy would intentionally let any program be mediocre. This is just the shite result of a situation that was handled as poorly as possible

LSU is one of the very few colleges where the baseball program actually makes money

Know how I know you weren't around for football in the 90s?

Baseball is a better sport than basketball… basketball is and will always be just a stop gap between football and baseball

Maybe 15 years ago but not with this generation of fans

why wouldn't that shock you? He fired a coach less than 2 years removed from a national title in football. He "fired" a long-time head coach with a national title in baseball.
What about Woody makes you think he's scared to pull the trigger to get rid of someone?

MM gets one more year. Might as well support the players and team until it shakes out next year. All yhe whinging in the world is not going to change that.

Those two were not his hires , McMahon is , so perhaps because of that , he gives him another year .
Also not sure if Woodward is willing to pay the buyout.

Woody is the one who gave Orgeron a massive extension

He paid the largest buyout in history to Orgeron. Macmahon’s is a small fraction of that buyout

The PMAC under Wade would be packed for most SEC games against ranked opponents. The crowd seen last night was the average SEC home crowd under Wade.
The basketball program has potential but it needs a enthusiastic leader that wins. We are in our cuck chair watching the majority of the SEC excelling and thriving. Thanks to Woody caving to the NCAA. Woody took the heart out of LSU basketball and turned the loyalist of fans into casuals and casuals into no shows.
