Ceramic tile floor in my shower.

I’m not sure exactly what happened but either my wife or the Cleaning Lady used some kind of cleaner on the walls in our shower and either didn’t rinse it off or it was the wrong type of cleaner. It’s stained the floor white or took the color out of the tile. Not really sure.
I use some tile X cleaner and a brush and scrub the shite out of it and rinsed it, but it did not change it all. Is there some way to get the color back in this tile or is it just damaged for good now?
TIA

You can try to acid wash it. Google acid wash for ceramic for options and to review. Have you tried scraping with a razor?
I'd also caulk the gap at the bottom in the back. Looks like the sides were grouted.

You know I saw that gap as well once I took the pictures. I got down there and looked and there is some grout and it is caulked but that particular area does not have a lot of caulk. I am going to re-caulk it all the way around

Hopefully after the acid wash
Not to divert the thread, but what size is that shower and do you feel comfortable with it? Looking at a bathroom reno, and the contractors keep trying push a 6' * 5' as a standard shower; then want to tell me I am looking at at least $15k just for the shower

That's probably efflorescence(calcium deposits), which could indicate a potential problem of compromised waterprofing and water under the tile. By the looks of the lack of grout at the seam, I'd bet this is it, and not a chemical issue as you previously state.

This sounds about the size of my shower. I had an old fiberglass insert ripped out and the area tiled floor to ceiling for around 6k. Maybe 7 after I bought the tile also, but no more than 7k.

Tip on caulking using silicone. Clean the crap out of the tile and let it dry out real good before applying the caulk. Cut your tip on the tube at a decent angle to allow a good flow to fill the crack area. Do all sides that need caulk and when done applying you will want to smooth out the caulk.
To make that part real easy, get a spray bottle and put some rubbing alcohol in it and grab a bunch of paper towels and get to work. Spray the caulked area well with the alcohol and use your finger to smooth out the caulk and push it into the crack. Any that accumulates on your fingertip can be wiped off on the paper towels.
A buddy of mine installs those cultured marble shower stalls, countertops, etc. and that is his tried and true method of finishing the job and making it look professional.

Doubt the floor is ceramic, looks like a natural stone. Still, I’d mix water and white vinegar 50/50, and spray the floor with it, let sit a few minutes then rinse and repeat. May not be successful in getting it all off.
Dig out all the grout possible around the perimeter and caulk that joint like gumbo instructed.
After all that, it will be time to determine what else needs to be done.

You can get the color matched caulk from floor and decor and more. It's also a urethane so it doesn't get moldy over time.

That’s a good point. Color match to the wall, not the floor. Should be a common white or off white. Most basic colors you can also get at Home Depot.

It is massive.
We love it and wish it had two shower heads

Not to derail the thread, but is anyone struggling with the drain looking off centered, out of line?

I wasn't going to say anything but there are signs it's not the best install.
Still if it helps get the arse clean and generally looks good then it is good. I'd be extra on the lookout for leaking though.
I have no idea about the tile discoloration. I'd try scraping with razor blades and then move to chemicals.

Am i the only one concerned that it looks like the back wall meeting the floor tile isn't grouted? Possibly a really bad shadow?

This joint should be caulked, but the waterproofing should keep that from being a problem. However, from what I can see from the pictures, I’m not overly confident in the installation.
