My Pops died on the 23,148th day of his life.

1/28/25 was the 23,148th day of my life.

Even though he’s been gone over three decades, I miss him more each year that goes by.

I just finished watching his favorite movie “Cool Hand Luke” and the Church scene at the end was maybe the reason he liked it so much.

If you still have your dad, reach out to him & especially if you still have time to heal a real or imagined insult; do it.

Tombstones make lousy sparring partners.

That is all.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming already in progress.

best wishes to you bud. Losing a parent is tough no matter how long it’s been.

63.42 is pretty young, what happened to him? Also, did you have the "real or imagined insult" with your Dad?

Your gay streak probably makes it difficult to watch the Joy Harmon part.

Yep. My dad has been gone 29 years now, but I miss him every day. I wish now that I had paid attention to him more when I was younger.

When my pop passed away 10 years ago, I learned I knew nothing about him after listening to stories from his old hometown buddies. Thats sad, and pathetic on my part.

we buried my dad yesterday. talking to some of his old coworkers was one of the best parts of the day. I could've spent hours talking to one of them.

I'm sorry for your loss.

I agree. Most people when they're young think everything will be the same every day they wake up.

Don't wait. If you're at college and reading this pick you the phone right now and give pops a call.

I guarantee you'll make his day.

Tell him how much you appreciate the sacrifices he made for you.

Dads are tough and he'll never let on that this touched him but it will.

He'll remember it.

this hurts me more than you know.

Found out my dad earned 3 bronze stars in Korea and I'm still fighting bureaucrats to find out the details.

Never once told anyone including his own siblings.

That's the man my dad was.

I believed most of my life that my dad and I were just different personalities. Only after he passed away did I learn how incredibly similar we were.

I’m sorry for your loss amigo.

Your pop has good tastes in movies.

My favorite line is
“Get at Dem beans.”

Although, “Lucille,” or “Failure to communicate” is up there as well.

Peace amigo.

14 years this May.

It's wild to imagine how much life would be different if Dad was still here.
