My wife has AT&T service now.
Non business use. Has I-phone 10
Looking for cheaper carrier and mentioned Consumer Cellular.
Any other carriers she should consider?
Verizon ? T-Mobile ?
Your input appreciated.

Visible. $25 per month, unlimited everything, and that includes a hotspot. No monthly contract.
It uses the Verizon network.

Mint. It uses T-Mobile's network. Look at the coverage maps of the big 3, and find a vendor (like Mint or Consumer Cellular, known as MVNOs) that uses the network that works best for you. I intensely dislike any service that is clearly marketed to older folks (Hi, I'm William DeVayne!) I think Consumer Cellular is one of those.

This is what I've used for years and it has been great.
My in-laws use Consumer Cellular and they like it so I don't think you'll go wrong with either choice.

Depends on what city they are in. I'm in Dallas and Mint, US Mobile, Visible are all crap, no data service in buildings and throttled service in crowded areas. Consumer Cellular works great as it uses ATT towers.

ATT doesn’t even work at ATT stadium in DFW. 5g did not solve the crowded places issues now that 100k people are uploading selfies.
Only ATT “elite” plans have significant priority. Regular ATT customers will be the same as consumer cellular “by the gig”. Unlimited MVNOs are a level down(except Cricket top plan which is same).

I switched over to Visible (from Verizon) and couple of months ago and have noticed zero difference. It was well worth the switch.

I'm rarely at that stadium. I was referring to crowded restaurants, bars, etc. I tried all the low cost carriers last year and none of them worked worth shite in the afore mentioned areas. I mean, I couldn't post my beer pics in the FBD thread unless I went outside.... The travesty! I went back to CC and have no issues now. I will say Googlefi, which I switched to for a European trip worked well but it is more $$.

I switched my mom from T-Mobile to Visible a few months ago when they were having their $15 a month for 5 years special. Works great for her.

In a pinch, use the post hurricane method that's worked for me: manually turn off 5G. You'll *probably* be fine on LTE to at least get data out. If that fails, drop down to 3G. You're not going to be uploading any TikToks, but it can come in handy to at least get text messages moving.

I switched to US Mobile last year. You can choose between AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile networks. I had been on AT&T forever but switched to the Verizon network. I have much better service around my house now.
Mine is $270/yr for 35GB of premium data and wife's is $210 for 10GB of premium data. It's unlimited data but you get the slower speeds if you go over. $40/month for 2 phones I hard to beat imo

Four lines under $100 with consumer Cellular. I set mine to LTE and it'll drop any calls. It works everywhere I am which includes Roxy Mississippi to Grand Isle.
