A boil-water advisory was issued Sunday for the entire east bank of New Orleans after a disruption at the Carrollton water plant, according to the New Orleans Sewerage & Water Board. The S&WB issued the advisory after water pressure fell due to an "due to a power surge" at the Carrollton plant. The cause of the surge is under investigation, according to the S&WB.

Make it through an arctic front and 10 inches of snow with no boil water advisory.

Upper 60s and sunny with a slight breeze? Boil water advisory

Another berl water alert. I’m sure Latoya is on top of things. I’m also sure our Super Bowl visitors will be real impressed when they get one of these.

Link?

I refuse to believe a large portion of a major US city can’t provide safe drinking water for its residents.

I think Ghana might be under a boil water advisory right now too. Coincidence?

Jackson, MS had the exact same shite…until recently when the federal government took over their water system. There hasn’t been a single advisory since that time.

I’m no doctor but I would never recommend that you not boil your water when living in Orleans Parish

city needs takeover by feds. If you cant supply water to your citizens on a consistent basis you cant be independent. My mom called me and said after the snow citizens were told not to use water. WTF? How ever many citizens are on a system they all should be able to use water with no issues. If there are get them fixed. Yes i know its complicated but it really isnt. Shitty leadership is the problem.;

95% chance that Entergy is to blame. The electrical infrastructure that supports the water plants is horrendous.

It will become obvious to the NFL in 2 weeks NOLA is not an NFL city any longer. Sell and move the Saints.
