They are all crying about how yet again many Texas GOP state reps did the Lucy Football maneuver to empower the democrat minority when those of us who pay attention saw this coming from a mile away. So many democrats get elected by running as Republicans.

Here is how the formula works - a well funded Republican imposter spends millions against a grassroots actual conservative Republican and buries them in the primary. And since Texas GOP primary voters are mostly boomercons who vote on name recongition, they nominate the fake Republican because the fake Republican spent millions in ads touting how they are super duper ultra conservative. It's also how John Cornyn always gets renominated

I volunteered for two grassroots MAGA actual conservatives last cycle, John O'Shea and Cheryl Bean who pooled resources and ran together on a ticket. John O'Shea was originally going to primary Kay Granger but after polling showed she would lose the primary she dropped out and hand selected her own stooge Craig Goldman to replace her. Goldman's millions and millions of dollars from Lockheed (who owns him and Kay Granger) drowned our campaign, which only was able to spend about 100k total. We had to deal with smear mailers and Goldman was able to spend on TV and radio with ads touting how conservative he was.

The same formula was repeated against Cheryl Bean, who went up against another Kay Granger Lockheed owned stooge, John McQueeny. McQueeny also spent millions for a fricking state house seat against us and buried us with negative mailers as well as radio/TV ads touting how ultra conservative he is. And of course McQueeny ended up being apart of the Burrows group in Austin who is empowering democrats.

We put air tags on our campaign signs that kept getting stolen and found they were either taken to Lockheed or were stashed at the homes of Lockheed employees.

Texas GOP primary voters will never get it as long as they vote on name recognition alone.

And this is exactly why Lockheed Failed at giving us a hypersonic missile. There is no accountability and they just buy off the politicians. No consequences, the money keeps flowing in.

That’s interesting. I live in a deep blue county and we recently elected 3 new republicans who ran as democrats. People here clearly WANT change but gotta vote blue no matter who. I think it was something like 70% Harris here.
It boggles the mind how an idea can sound like oppression when said by one person but common sense solutions when said by another.

I noticed a lot of political commercials here in Texas, where the candidates never mentioned which party they are with. I assumed it was democrats not wanting the public to know they're democrats?

Texas GOP is a mess right now.

We need a Texas Trump. And I don't know if we will ever get one.

It is strange. The Democrats always go all in on Cruz all while Cornyn the forgotten Senator just slides right in. I think his days are numbered but we will see. It also doesn’t help that Austin has turned into a mini California

the secret to getting elected in texas is saying how many times can you say the word conservative in a 15 second radio/tv ad. whether you are conservative or not. then, the one with the most radio/tv ads wins.

Yeah Allred may have had a shot until the boys in girls sports thing and then bringing in Kamela. In the commercials you also have to have a pick up truck off roading in the hill country. Plus ride a horse at the end “Vote for me”.

How is it strange? Cruz is conservative and Cornyn is just like them so why would they want him replaced

Advertising should be banned in politics. If you are making your voting decisions off a billboard or 30 second commercial you shouldn’t be voting.

Most people do vote based on ads they see. Negative ads work very well.

Because Cornyn isn’t a thorn in their side.

That was meant for the OP. Cruz comes on talk radio here in Houston. During the election he said that he did not get any money from good ole boy purse strings Mitch during campaign. Cornyn did. It’s sad and that is a big problem with the GOP across the country. Not just Texas.

Look no further than Louisiana where after election the Louisiana speaker of the house Clay Schneider- who oversaw super majorities, in the house and Senate basically handed all the power to the Democrats by appointing black Democrats to head all the committees. This was back in 2020

That has been their turn Texas Purple strategy all along. It hasn’t been to change people into voting democrats. They have been flipping the Republican Party from the inside out
